Assist either in the office or remotely to help new volunteers complete their online applications. You can help a volunteer get started on their volunteer career with the Red Cross. (4 hrs/week, computer skills preferred)
Take our 1 hour emergency preparedness presentation to kids grades 3-5 and they each get a pillowcase to start their disaster kit. This is presented by 2 people so get a friend to help and become a teaching team!
Provide information regarding victim rights and referrals to other services, emotional support, assist with financial restitution, and accompaniment to appointments such as health, legal, and law enforcement. Volunteers have constant, ongoing communication with our dedicated staff.
Help by tightening shower heads, leaky faucets and doing other minor plumbing repairs, changing burned out light bulbs and doing other minor electrical repairs.
Work alongside a Cincinnati Cares staff member to support the volunteer engagement needs of business partners. Help plan team days of service, run volunteer engagement team meetings and create strategic development plans for company-wide volunteer engagement.
Explore & collect research and publicaions on volunteer engagement. (Basic computer skills and database experience preferred)
Publish nonprofit organization and event listings on Cincinnati Cares. (Basic computer skills & database experience preferred)
