There are additional ways of helping at our facility such as sorting donations, assembling snack packs, and toiletry bags.
We always have a need for handcrafted items for our gift shop which is a fundraiser for the clinic. Preference is for items than can be priced at $5 or less. Can be for both pets and people.
Volunteering can be as varied as the parks themselves: support conservation efforts, trails, fishing, history, music, birds and wildlife, gardening, photography and natural landscapes. Help at an event or program, in the field, the office, the lodge or the welcome center!
One of the most proactive and interactive ways you can become involved with Reach Out Lakota is through Food, Hygiene, Cleaning, Paper products, and/or Clothing Drives. Please check out our Year-round shopping list that includes food, supplements and clothes, and our donation packet to help promote your drive.
We offer flexible community service opportunities for students, businesses, churches and civic organizations. Choose the time and place best for you, and we’ll match you up with one of our experienced volunteers to plan and direct your efforts. You’ll have fun with your group while contributing to your community.

Help fill jars of our homemade cookie mix and Tote Bags or knit, crochet or quilt pot holders to add to our Tote Bags.
Supernumeraries, or “supers,” function like extras in movies – they are non-singing, non-speaking parts that help bring the opera to life. Every season, we cast supernumeraries, and each production offers unique opportunities to participate. As a Super, you will share the stage with internationally renowned artists and work with celebrated directors and conductors.
If you can only help out occasionally we have several ways for you to help. You can assist our staff in taking the elderly on social outings, celebrate birthday parties, assist with art programs, and assist with transportation, clean-up, and set-up for taking the elderly to visit nearby nursing homes.
Little Brothers–Friends of the Elderly celebrate the holidays with our elderly friends because this is when they can feel the loneliest.
